Distribution Channels in Ontario
All alcohol sold in Ontario is distributed through three specific channels of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). These channels are:
Wines/Spirits Category (General List): Alcohol sold in this category can be purchased by the bottle at all LCBO stores where the products are available. Visit the LCBO to search for products and stores near your location. Any products on General List have a continuous supply of inventory all year long. (Page 1 of Price List)
Vintages: Wines sold in this category can be purchased by the bottle at all LCBO stores that have a Vintages section where the products are available. Vintages products are limited to fewer numbers of stores and are normally released once a year. When inventory runs out the product is absent until re-ordered by the LCBO. Consignment: These products are not available at LCBO stores but must be ordered by calling the Kolonaki Sales Department. All orders must be made in case lots of individual brands (no mixing of brands), and these orders are submitted to the LCBO warehouse where a minimum of 24 hours are needed before the order can be collected and then delivered to the consumer.
